Nice. How do you like that chainsaw mill?

8 months drying time before or after cutting boards? 8 months after cutting logs and 2 months after cutting boards. I tested the moisture content at 18% so should be good for outdoor use

Nice. How do you like that chainsaw mill? I'm very happy with it. You need at least a 50CC engine to cut efficiently

That is awesome. I need to get one of those mills. I have some huge Live Oaks that need cutting, and would like to make some shelves.

That is awesome There is a lot of potential projects with lumber like that. Having a mill and making your own lumber is super cool

Very nice! I’ve got some cedar trees on my property that need to come down. I’m thinking of taking some of the smaller branches and turning them on the lathe into something. Haven’t decided just what as of yet.

Very cool. Love the wood and it will last for a very long time. I work with Eastern Red a lot and it requires zero drying time for either furniture or outdoor use. We cut over 2000 board feet on my sawmill and built a deck and patio cover at a guy's house in Canton as soon as we finished cutting. One of the very few woods with a low enough moisture content to use instantly. Not to mention the gorgeous coloring when finished with poly or natural stain. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2023/01/full-50034-379198-img_3215.jpg)
