All handles are wild persimmon that I cut. The stone heads are coal creek serpentine that I made from rocks i picked up. The heads are wet sanded by hand to 12,000 grit. All are set with rawhide and a small amount of epoxy putty to ensure they’re locked in.

They look really good and look like they could do some damage.

Beautiful and no doubt deadly!! They look like they belong in the Smithsonian.

Very nice! Why did you choose persimmon if I may ask?

Good job on those. You've been busy it appears.

A few reasons. One, it has a slick bark that’s relatively easy to strip when its green. However, its impossible to strip once its dried dried for a couple of weeks. Two, the wood is relatively soft when green and hard as a rock when dry. Three, although it will sometimes start to split when drying, it usually doesn’t. Four, its in abundant supply around our deer camp. And five, for the most part its a crap tree with no redeeming qualities unless you find one with fruit on it. And then its only useful if you’re starving to death. 😁
