the 2 closest braums stores here were closed because of poor service
and nasty conditions in the stores. that and dim witted employees that
couldn't keep the orders straight or properly put a simple order together.
the closest one had a near brawl that included the woman manager
punching and cursing loudly the last time i was there before it closed.
the building is now one of those title loan places or discount car insurance
for the hoodrats or something like that. IIRC the other is still vacant

Last time I ate at a DQ was over 30 years ago. Got an order of cheese nachos. I was thinking they were pretty good until I picked up the last one. He was sittin under there waving his antennas at me! Ain't been back!

Reminds me when I was TDY in the Philippines in the mid 80's. Little place had the best taco's I'd ever eaten. The thinnest shells and just greatness. Only problem was occasionally you had to raise your elbows up from the bar to let the roaches run by! Might have been alcohol involved!

In high school, the local DQ would run specials in the school paper.

Dudes were .99 and banana splits were .99. It was good for up to 5. I would eat 2 or 3 Dudes and follow them with 2 banana splits.

I now look at a banana split and I put on weight.

Just almost finished an order of steak fingers. Not anywhere near what they use to be. Threw half the order in the trash tells how bad they were.

Yes, and still do sometimes. Add cheese, light on the mayo.

Have to take a little extra insulin because it drives mt blood sugar up.
