These are city problems. I got a significant amount of of cash today from my small town bank and asked the teller if there was a more private place to count it instead of the lobby, the bank manager invited me to count it at her desk. Customer service is just fine around here.

Kind of hard to shop for what I want when it’s locked in a cabinet and nobody what’s to help.

You were shopping for a hat at Boot Barn.
That’s the point.

Where should I shop for one? I hit Cavenders also because I was close to them. When I have time, I’ll drive to Decatur, but that wasn’t in the cards today

A little closer for you but since off the rack
seems ok you might try McKinney Hat Company
just off the square. Last time I was there they
were not able to do exactly what I wanted but
close enough that I bought one.
Again, the point is our expectations are often not
reasonable when considering the sources we’ve created.

Man, this 100% sounds like the Chase Bank in Weatherford. Garbage management here…

Went to a supply store and looked around for what I needed. Couldn't find it. Asked a worker who was wrapped up in a personal conversation with another employee if they had the product.
She just said "if we have it, it will be over there on the shelf".
Same chain, different store. As I walked by an employee, he asked could he help me. I said "Yes, I need a tractor battery". He just kept dusting the shelf and never moved. Why did he asked if he could help if he wasn't going to help?
Bad management is where I put the blame.

If cities are worse, it ain't by much.

Maybe where you live, not here though.

Glen Rose isn't the big city, not many hometown banks left. All we have are branches of much bigger banks.

So you're OK with sub-par? Is that acceptable to other things you purchase or services you hire?

If y’all want a bank with customer service, there’s a reason why I’ve been with Plainscapital for over 2 decades. Not a lot of branches outside of Lubbock but they have them scattered

What I bought is more than acceptable, I like it a lot.
If I ever find exactly what I want I’ll buy that as well.

Do you really want someone who doesn’t know what they are doing fixing up your cowboy hat for you? It’s not a cheeseburger anyone can put together a burger it’s a hat that requires steam and know how and experience to make it look right.

Oh I know they suck, but I was in the area and it was convenient. I’ll just drive to Decatur soon and get a custom hat.

You won't be sorry. I'm hearing lead time is way out there, still worth the wait.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

The last customer service number I called had roosters crowing about 3 feet from the phone and I’m pretty sure they were right in the middle of rooster cage matches. It was pretty damn funny but also very infuriating at the same time.

30 people standing around, 2 were checking people out. I don’t feel sorry if companies like that have to close their doors during the depression. Piss poor management and leadership.

On another note, Anderson Bean has only started selling certain styles at certain stores. The boot I was looking for is only sold in San Antonio 🙄

Contact them. Let them know.

That’s putting blame in the wrong place. Went to hell when USA corporations started moving call centers offshore.

Went to QT Tuesday for my weekly lottery tickets. I gave the girl 4 slips to run and 4 tickets from the previous week to check. The girl ran the 4 slips then proceeded to check the other tickets. She came back and said the 4 tickets were showing no results/too early to process and my total was $16.00 I said that can't be because they were last week's tickets and my total is $12.00 every week, plus there was a $5.00 winner in there. Mgr came over and told her she was running the tickets she just created! Duh! He finally got it straightened out.

A year or so ago I went to Burger King for a chicken sandwich. Nobody in the place eating and apparently nobody working. I stood there a while, never saw a human, and then left. Sent a nasty (honest) email to their headquarters. Told them they had spent a lot of money putting in the new BK, and it was not going to survive at this level of ‘nobody home’. They listened. Next time in there, service was top notch.

Every now and then I crave a BK Original Chicken Sandwich. You guys can verbally torture me, but the craving will probably never die.

I needed in the locked case. I’ll shape it myself.
