Struck out on google, so I may be out of luck.

I hate shipping guns these days and would like to find a CAS gunsmith in the DFW area, Parker County or Wise County so I can drop off in person.

First off, I have a Pietta 1878 coach gun that I would like to get a recoil pad installed and the trigger improved(trigger springs are heavy).

I realize that most gunsmiths could do this work. But, I am so new to this sport that I don't even know what I don't know. So I would like a CAS specialized gunsmith that can recommend what work I need on this gun and others.

Thanks you for reading my post.

I know lampasses may be a further drive than you're looking for, but Steve's gunz kind of specializes in that stuff if I recall correctly

Check out Lefty Wheeler. https://wheelergunworks.weebly.com/ I've heard good things about Steve but I had my .45 1873 cowboy'd by Lefty. It was done very well. He is in Willow Park.

If you are going to Oklahoma in a couple of weeks there should be a few people up there as well.
