Anybody can get a DL, not everybody can get a LTC.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

All the above and from my experience if you get pulled over for speeding the popo will usually let you go with a verbal.
It can be used as and ID and not show joe blow your DL which has your address on it.
It's cheap to renew, It like $40 to $60 bucks range

The instant purchase of a firearm is reason enough for me.

Thanks for all the input, those are reasons enough for me. I'm not much into giving out my info unless I need to.

Only thing preventing I would think is if it doesn’t have the real ID star. It’s Federally recognized for employment so you have some validity if needed.

It can be used as "secondary" ID according to the TSA person I recently spoke to. Passport, Global Entry or DL would be primary.

There was actually a reason for this so I was told. Use to be that when you applied for your CHL or LTC you had to send in photos for your CHL/LTC. The photos you sent were not vetted. When you apply for or renew your DL the license branch takes your photo.

No background check for buying guns. Due to the volume of revoked and suspended LTC holders who have failed to surrender their cards to the state, the ATF recommends dealers run everyone through the NIC system.

I think if pulled over, it puts a cop somewhat at ease if you tell him you have a LTC and you are carrying, rather than him having to ask Joe Blow if he is armed.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.
