Geico. We have Auto, Home, and Umbrella polies with them.

Got a notice today that my auto coverage is increasing 29.8%, an increase of slightly over $500\year

No Tickets. No new accidents (one fender bender 3 years ago)

We are in Springtown. A buddy in Ft Worth got a notice of a similar increase notice today.

I have been on the phone and internet for 3 hours getting quotes. State Farm is within $10 of the same amount. Several others a lot higher.

Anybody else seeing this kind of increase?

We all need to practice Whoa more.

I have had State Farm all my adult and married life. It has not yet gone up like every other recurring payment bill I have.

I expect it to.

I pay $2400 per year for full coverage on four vehicles with two drivers that are 20/under.

I have Home Insurance through them too. They have a discount for holding multiple policies.

Pass the gravy.

That’s a good bit cheaper than I’m paying Farm Bureau for three vehicles and three people with one young driver. Of course I totaled a car on a deer a couple of years ago and the wife new car just got hail damage they had to pay on.

It's getting downright crazy right now. Downright crazy.

I ain't never seen anything like this, but I do gets surprised from time to time. State Farm auto policy terms are 6 months and I have seen confusion before.

I get the same rates from State Farm

They are 6 months policy full coverage I pay a little over $600 per year full coverage with uninsurered motorist on my new vehicles

Older vehicles liability only it's like $400 per year

I get all the discounts they offer.

The big increases coming up are home owners. Replacement cost on materials and labor is driving some big increases.

Always ask your agent for his quote every year on all insurance.
If you're not shopping it, my guess is you're paying too much.

Kick those youngsters off your policy and let them get their own.

When our kids were dependents we paid for their gas but made them pay for their insurance.

My autos on State Farm went up 10% on last 2 renewal notices. No young drivers, but did have a hail claim last year.

Inflation and crazy drivers. That's what YOU'RE paying for. You're not paying for YOUR history for the most part.

Yep.

Home owners went up due to unprepared idiots that made conscious decisions to buy new cars, boats, and take big vacations, instead of spending a grand to be minimally prepared for a winter storm. They hauled [censored] to hotels and friends the minute the power went out, not even bothering to do the minimums, like turn the water off.

Dogs that are known to be aggressive allowed to run free and bite neighbors.

Automotive goes up because of claims for hail damage, stolen catalytic converters, and breakins for cars in the driveway or on street, while garages sit unusable because they are filled with mostly useless crap.

Texting while driving and drivers that are generally idiots. Oh...I got a parking lot ding...I'm filing a claim.

Yup. My homeowners ins went from $2,600 to $3,800 a year. My truck ins went up 'only' $100 for the year.

I'm sure the red light runners have an impact on this. I've noticed for a while now they are getting way worse.

Vehicles cost at least 30% more than they did. If you crash the insurance is paying for your vehicle or someone else’s. A 30% increase doesn’t seem unreasonable. Their potential loss or exposure has gone up and they are charging accordingly.

Yes, the current state minimum coverage won't pay for new vehicle now. Check your coverage.

Will you share your agent's name? PM me if you don't want it out on the forum. My homeowners and auto both went up. I don't like having to manage my coverage to keep my cost down. Thanks.

Mine jumped big time this year. Home owners not as bad but autos jumped up $90 a month or $1080 for the year. I’m with Farmers. No accidents and no claims no young drivers. We do have $500 for collision and $50 for comprehensive. Almost no insurance companies will do that cheap of a deductible these days.

I got a lower quote on auto from Allstate but a little higher on the house. My agent did a rerate on my auto based on my perfect credit score. Auto and homeowners combined went up $3/month. I was thinking maybe I had been paying too much on the auto but I get quotes at least every other year. My credit score has been over 800 for as long as I can remember.

My Geico policy was up for renewal at the beginning of this month. We had no claims or new vehicles and I keep the deductible at $1000 on 3 vehicles. Yet, our renewal was 45% higher! I called Geico and got them to walk it all the way back to the prior levels. That included signing up for that safe driver app, which I've got to say sucks. If you open your phone for anything while driving, it's tracking you and dings your "score". Just last week, I turned off the tracking feature on the apps and got a notice that Geico is removing that 10% discount from my policy. Maybe I'll figure out a way to add it again in the future, but that's not worth 10%.

I'm leaving Allstate after 25 years. Most likely going with USAA for better coverage and lower cost. Been in talks, probably finalize this week.
