School Board conference in San Antonio this weekend, two of our school board members have had their truck stolen in the last 12 hours.
My mom had an aneurysm and was sent to San Antonio, mybdads truck was broke into and they stole some stuff, probably would have got the truck too but he saw them and ran.

We used to like going to the Riverwalk and eat and people watch. I believe those days are long gone, unfortunately.

For stolen vehicles, I understand the part of town thing is a misconception. Thieves steal from the higher dollar hoods because that's where the valuable vehicles are located. It's also my understand that a lot of San Antone area stolen trucks go straight to Mexico. What have ya'll heard?

Word is they usually stash them at an apartment complex or something and watch them for a time to see if they have been tracked and then they move them when they think they have gotten away with it. Many stolen trucks have been found parked somewhere. in town.

Hell, I've lived here nearly my whole adult life and have never had a car stolen.

We see it lots. They are usually always retrieved. Quite often used for awhile and then abandoned. Parking garages downtown are getting notorious for it. Ever since they quit applying grand theft auto as a charge, getting caught with stolen ruck result sin nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Thieves are also breaking windows in trucks looking for guns. Happened to me a couple of months ago at a restaurant in a “good” area of SA.

3/4 ton Ford 4WD is a coyote's dream truck; perfect for "exiting stage left" through el rancho when La Migra is in pursuit. I try to remember to put The Club on my steering wheel the rare times I'm in the city with it. They steal 'em all the time at The Rim and La Cantera, not far from my house, the current "chic" place to shop.

'Called the sheriff's department a few weeks ago on a Ford 1/2 ton that was sitting for well over 24 hours on the side of the ranch road west of Junction with a broken front hub. Way too nice of a truck for the owner not to have it towed, if he knew it was there. I'd surmise it was stolen. Tonneu cover on the back, perfect for stackin' 'em in like cord wood. It was facing towards Del Rio.

You went through a lot of work to prove my point. Frisco isn’t on my list. And also lessor median income then those posted. Your article for southlake was from 2017…..every city has crime, urban higher population and lower income areas just have more. As a percentage based on population numbers and median income, my statement stands.

I just posted some random BS from the internet. The OP topic is related to car and truck theft.
Are people who live, work and shop in higher class areas, drive nice vehicles, less likely to be targeted by car thieves (not related to the joy riding type)?
