I got lucky and drew this hunt! Any input would be hugely appreciated. Biggest thing I have found is corn corn corn.

I am super excited. Wish it wasn't 7 hours away so I could go get some time on the ground down there but oh well...maps it is.

We camped last time on-site. No water or electricity, but decent spots. We were woken by the border patrol one morning chasing 2 cars that crashed through the wma fence at about 4 am though. High traffic road infront of the wma, but also heavily watched. You can’t hardly hit the pavement without an leo pulling up behind you. We found hotels in Cotulla were extremely cheap and only about a 20 min drive. I’ll opt for that option next time.
Plan on long sits. Animals aren’t as abundant as you might expect on a big high fenced south Tx ranch, but you will see game with time.
Invest in or bring a game camera or two. Those $99 cell cams worked out great for us. We had about 800 acres to ourselves, and we corned multiple spots day 1.
Feel free to pm me questions if you’d like

Lightly Corn all the senderos in your compartment and watch. It really helps if you have a road spreader. It will quickly become apparent where the deer are and set up in that general area. The javelina can come out at any time, but usually will stay on corn once they find it. Good luck and have fun. It’s one of my favorite places to hunt.
As others have said the campground is nice but the road is busy and noisy. I usually get a hotel in cotulla. It’s worth the few dollars to get a good nights sleep.

Here is my multi species 2022 hunt from this year to get you warmed up. Got a doe the first morning and on my way to get my truck the javalina found the corn.

Spent the rest of day and following morning looking for pigs, coyotes and quail. Never found the pigs (there are not a lot there) or yote, but did come across a covey of quail and got two. If I was a better shot would have had several more.

Just got back from the management hunt. it was slow due to drizzle all day and maybe hunting pressure from 3 weekends of youth hunts. We had the North Jay compartment on the east side and saw 10 deer all bucks. We killed 2 javelina and a hog. They've limited doe harvest and asked us to pass if possible. Not sure what they will do for future hunts but might check the Chap Facebook page.

I sent them a message on FB looks like for the multi species they are not going to accept standbys...Talked to a guy that went to one of the archery hunts and he didn't even see a doe...May be a harder hunt than I am expecting.

I ended up with a doe on the last morning. Wind was ripping and it was a hard hunt. Did not see any pigs or javelina.
