Spent the weekend in Estes Park with my girlfriend. The way the elk just move in to town and take over is amazing. We also took a guided trip into the National Park[Linked Image]

I’ve seen the Este’s Park police park in the right lane with their emergency lights on in the shopping district to protect a group of cows and calves that were bedded down in the street. A big bull was eating shrubbery on someone’s front lawn.

The first time I went to Estes park was probably in 1972 in the late spring and it was flooded big time. Next and last time was in the early 80's when I skied up there and had a blast!

If you’re there then you need to stop here! Sinclair gas station….order a couple of “Cuban” sandwiches because one isn’t enough…..

Beautiful place, been there several times, but the crowds have become a little too much

We saw that in several places around town. Most notably right in front of the elementary school.

We got a burger at Sinclair. It was pretty good. I didn't see the Cuban sandwich on the menu or I would have gotten one
