Anyone ever tried it? I have never found it outside of Michigan so whenever I go back I load up! Slice some up, with cheese and put it on a cracker (I prefer Ritz) and chase it down with a cold beer. It is a hunt/fish/camping camp staple in my opinion.

Please tell me you didn't bring home any lutefisk. (That's probably more west of MI.)

looked lutefisk up

Quote
What Is Lutefisk?
Literally meaning "lye fish," lutefisk is a dried stockfish (normally cod or ling, but haddock and pollock can also be used) that has been brined in lye, soaked to remove the resulting caustic solution, and then steamed until it flakes. The end result looks and feels gelatinous. Traditionally, it is served with warm cream or butter sauce and enjoyed with copious amounts of beer

I bet copious amounts of beer helps one get started eating it and thinking it is good

Never tried it, not big on regular bologna, so I’m not sure that I’d enjoy this version either.
Life is to short to eat potted meat!

I love me some bologna sandwiches but only at the deer lease or river. I never eat it at home. I’d try the pickled stuff but I’m not convinced it’d be good.

I’d try it. I grew up on fried bologna and gravy sandwiches. Love me some fried bologna.

Koegel does a road show (via their shipping company) with multiple stops including TX as they have quite a following. They have a spring stop in Arlington and we load up on the ring bologna, Vienna style hot dogs, their famous “Flint Mi coney dog sauce, and assorted other offerings from Michigan. You can go online and sign up for their bulletins on dates and places for their stops which include Fl, Az and Tx.

A Vernors ginger ale and a flint coney and I’m in heaven!

That would be a no. Never tried. Think that's more of a Wisconsin/Minnesota thing?

I’ve had that before on a crunchy bread cracker topped with a raspberry jalapeño jam. Pretty good stuff
