Is the end all to be all they might be right. BUT, to say it doesn’t need to be sized before loading is BS. The body is perfect but the necks are always bad. The only brass I’ve received that was ready to load is Nosler Custom Competition. It’s slightly higher and you get less round count out of it. So there’s that. Here’s some pictures of new Lapua brass. Before After size and cleaning up, which the Nosler does not need.

I don't think you can base quality of the brass based solely on how the necks are dinged up during shipping. If you run the out-of-round necks up into a sizing die just high enough to kiss the expander ball, problem solved. You don't need to FL size them. They only need the necks cleaned up. I typically do this anyway with Lapua brass, since their necks are generally pretty tight to begin with. This is very common with ALL brands of new brass. But again, I wouldn't call the necks "bad".

Oh I’m not saying it bad brass at all. I’m just saying some suggest that it needs no attention before loading. I’ve yet to use a brass that I like better than Lapua. Sure, the Nosler when I’m lazy, which is usually, but it’s not better.

Norma makes Nosler's brass. I find their brass is exceptional. I like Lapua, but I have to process the necks on Lapua brass, since they are generally too tight. The most consistent and best brass on the market is ADG. It's the most consistent with the tightest (lowest) weight tolerances I've ever seen. Lapua is really good and I prefer to use fired Lapua brass. It seems like once you get a firing or two on Lapua, it gets even better.

Policy, Lapua and Nosler definitely need an expander ball ran through them before loading. They are way too tight. And yes, some get out of round during shipping. The nicest brass I have used has been ADG and Peterson.

I guess next go round I’ll try ADG or Petersons next. If you can get it. My 20,000 piece order of ADG 28 Nosler brass was placed almost 2 years ago, and I just got the second part of the shipment a few weeks ago. They are good, but hard to get.

I run new brass, regardless of who made it, through a neck sizing die 100% of the time.

The nicest brass I have used has been ADG and Peterson. This is sorta where I am at, I don't know about Nosler. I've had several Lapua pieces that were dinged. But compared to ADG, Peterson and Alpha brass, why can't lapua find a way to provide a case/slot that fits all 100 pieces. I still run all new brass through an expander, but the Lapua is on the only nice brass i have that needs it because cases mouths are dinged up. Alpha is the only brass that's not 308 for me, but seems like very high quality so far. These necks are much tighter than the lapuas are.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

I’ve long thought that Lapua brass is better after being fired once, good to see I’m not crazy. I also like Norma brass. It seems to last a long time, unlike Nosler brass, which makes me question the statement that Norma make Nosler brass.

That is, if you know what to do with it after one firing.
