Daughter is 16. I’m looking at a few types of cars, mileage, color, year, price. But I don’t wanna spend everyday doing it.

Is there a company that does it for you. For a small fee.

Cars.com is very much like Zillow. You input the data you want, and they will send you an email anytime one comes available.

PM me all the data and I will try to help. May be tomorrow before I can look if that fits you schedule. Also where you are located would help unless you want to travel some.

Ive seen the caravans. Cargurus and other ones.

I’m DFW area.

Looking for 2017 or newer Civic, Accord or Mazda 3. She likes white. Just no black.
Prefer no accidents.
Like no higher than 60k miles.
Give or take 20 grand. Don’t want to venture up much higher. Because of tax and and I’ve seen transportation fees.

Is this a surprise for her?? If not, why not give her the parameters and have her start searching? I don’t mean contacting sellers but giving you a list as she finds things. Y’all get to discuss the list and weed it down to acceptable ones to take to the next step. It’s great bonding, motivation and she gets to learn about how the process works.
I did this with my son. He wanted a mustang and we discussed parameters. Within a couple weeks he had the Mustang he wanted and the vehicle I was willing to pay for. It was a win - win up

I tried this. She always finds the standard transmission ones. Don’t understand the difference. 😂
No way I’m teaching her to drive a stick.

Look at it this way.
With a stick shift:
She will be less likely to text and drive. She will be too busy.
You won’t have to worry about any of her friends driving the car.
It makes it harder for a boy to get handsy while she is driving.
She will learn a skill that may serve her well in the future.

I concur. Driving a manual is a lost art.

I agree with all the benefits of stick shift. I tried to teach her mother/my wife. Almost ended in divorce.

I’m shocked at men under 30 that can’t drive a stick. I tried to teach one who worked for me years back. It was a disaster. I don’t think anyone taught me, just told me what to do and I figured it out.

I did see a guy get killed once because he had a stick. Carjackers couldn’t drive it. So they killed him.

The son of a good friend of mine was delivering pizzas and got an order to an apartment in Lewisville.
It was a setup. The robbed him and tried taking his Wrangler. It was a stick and they couldn’t drive it. Luckily they didn’t do any else to him. They just ran and left the keys in the Jeep.
