Just get it done! The procedures they have now and taking it easy afterwards it's a snap. Like was stated in that morning and home later that day. I had light duty at work for awhile and be careful lifting, while recovering at home after recovering for couple days get out and walk little further each day and your good to go. My first time out of house after mine my son came to pick me up and go get something to eat...driving his sports car! That adds a degree of difficulty to entrance and exit but at least his was convertible so not too bad.
Brayden (Lazy L's Southern Comfort) you will be missed! You were more than a pet you were my reason to rise and return for many days! You were my rock! 12/26/03-10/25/13

I had a hernia-type procedure just below the waistline back in February. Recovery was straight forward but it was 6-8 weeks until I really felt back to normal. I still get some occasional itching on the incision line from the nerves waking up.

Surgery is scheduled for first week of September. Its been giving me trouble, been wearing a band around my stomach with a padded ball in it to push on that spot.

My wife just had traditional hernia surgery at the start of summer. She is still recovering, but hers was a little (lot) different. She had an incisional hernia (a cut from an old surgery blew out basically) it was same deal, COVID hit and couldn't get in for 2 years. It was size of one of those half size toy basketballs when she finally got in for surgery. Doc says it's going to be a long road to back to normal.
I guess the takeaway here is get it done asap, smaller the repair the better.
The only thing flat earthers have to fear is sphere itself

It aint no big deal. I had never been under and had one done last year. Mine was done robotically but I woke up and went home same day. Take it easy for a couple days and don't lift chit for a couple weeks

Yep, it's an easy one. Just get up and start walking as soon as you can after the surgery. I didn't even need post surgery pain meds. Good luck.

Well had my hernia surgery yesterday. It was supposed to be laproscopic but when I woke up there was a 3" incision above my belly button. I don't know why they changed it to that. Last night was rough, had a lot of pain. Pretty much my whole abdomen hurts and my ribs feel bruised. And for some reason my right shoulder hurts. I'm on oxycodone. Walking around is fine it.just hard getting in and out of bed. Hopefully it heals up fast and is all good.
