On our trip to the Davis Mountains, I was hoping to see some aoudad. We didn’t see any, there, but on our way back into Pecos, by way of Toyah, I happened to see three good rams just off the interstate, right outside of Pecos. It was right by the old bar and grill that was abandoned many years ago. I drove quite a ways to see them, and they were just outside of town. Oh well, it was a beautiful drive, and the weather was perfect.

That ram on the right is a stud! And yes....I agree with you, I could easily live in Fort Davis. I absolutely love that area.

We are going to the Trans Pecos next spring break and staying in Fort Davis as our home base.

Cool pics, thanks for sharing. Nice rams! But sounds like you didn't see any elk in the mountains either?

I've never been out out that far but we will someday.

Easy there Sparky. This needs to be thought through. Don't get me wrong, I'm in love with the area, but, the, actual, head of the tribe might have a few thoughts about it.

Nice pics. The rainbow is beautiful. I'm not a guy that has a list of animals to hunt but I've always wanted to shoot an audad. I have one hanging in my office that was a hand me down.
