I recently bought a car from a family that had moved here from Oakland, Ca. I jokingly said so you moved here so you could screw up Texas and make it like Ca. He said no that Ca. was so screwed up that they needed to get their children out of there before they got their minds messed up. They said what the schools were teaching their children and the environment they lived in plus all the restrictions on everything they did was finally too much to take. And they said no, they don't want to make Texas like Ca. I hope that the majority of people moving here from there share the same goal.

I have quite a few family members who have moved here from the San Francisco area and all are conservative. My niece's favorite quote is "everything can be solved with violence." I love that kid. Her husband has bought several ARs, two suppressors and has put himself through several shooting schools in the past year. They can't wait to vote against Beto and Biden. He also thinks hogs should be eradicated from the face of the earth. Anyone who thinks like that is alright.

I moved to central Texas from Fort Worth. Was recently at a function when I mentioned to a gent there that we had moved from the City. He said he hoped I wouldn't try to change things and vote the wrong way. That got a belly laugh, but he was very serious. If I had been from Cali, he might have blown a gasket.
