Right now I have the suppressor just direct threaded on to my AR pistol. Would it make any sound or recoil difference to put the muzzle brake or flash hider under the suppressor?

Yes, definitely. The brake/suppressor combo is the greatest thing since sliced bread. The only reason to go flash hider/suppressor is if you think you'll ever need to use your unit sans suppressor AND hearing protection.

So you think it will be more quiet and less recoil with the brake under the suppressor? Anyone else?

I do NOT think there will be any noticeable difference with a muzzle brake AND a suppressor attached to it. They perform different functions while providing a common attachment point for the suppressor. JMO...YMMV.

I use my Specwar on two .300 BO uppers, one with a brake, the other with a flash hider. There is a noticeable difference when you shoot them side by side. Is the difference enough to make a change? Your call …
