The 'R' word is always a tell that someone didn't mature past high school. X 2 If ever there was a word that needed to disappear from usage that is it. why?

The 'R' word is always a tell that someone didn't mature past high school. X 2 If ever there was a word that needed to disappear from usage that is it. why? It's a pejorative term used for people with mental disabilities that are beyond their control. It is insensitive and insulting and does not reflect well on those who use it. I don't use it because I believe there but for the grace of God go I.

FOX NFL Kickoff show doing a skit with a king sitting on a throne. I think in light of the Queen just passing, and her coffin being moved at this very moment, this skit is ill advised and in extremely poor taste.
