went to our deer lease monday to do some work. we are northwest of abilene 40 miles or so. nada in our area.

Hunted north of Albany (Labor Day weekend) over dried sunflowers and I was able to scratch out 26 birds in two afternoon hunts. Nothing special for sure, but we had a few birds coming in/out of the field.
didn't hear much shooting overall.

Tons of birds of you have food.
Elmdale/Hamby area lots of birds
South of Anson my buddy bought a 100 acres that had some volunteer wheat come up and it’s full of birds.

Last weekend saw lots of birds Haskell County, just driving around. Also driving along 380 from DFW to Haskell, but it is spotty, just go a hunt don't worry about it. You never know what the dove gods will give you.
