Pros are pretty obvious. Biggest con to me is that when it sits, the slime will settle and your tires will be out of balance for a bit while you sling it around. I switched to Tireject to eliminate that issue. Seems to work just as well on thorns and such and isn't nearly as thick so doesn't throw anything out of balance.

I wouldn’t own one without it. Just get good slime not the wal mart crap. I have had good luck with highlifter seal but hear good things about multiseal. I have put it in over a dozen atv/utvs and have never had an issue. I have never noticed the out of balance thing but it makes sense though it should remedy itself very quickly once you start driving.

don't use the green chit!! i have been using this for 7 years in west texas https://quadboss.com/tire-wheel/tires/tire-sealantcheck amazon i think its like $32 per gallon Seals up to 1/2" puncture in the tread and 1/4" puncture in the sidewall Stops bead leaks and pinhole leaks in rims Will not solidify or freeze (above -33°F) Will not rust steel, corrode aluminum wheels, or clog valve core Environmentally benign and water washable Works for the life of the tire Made in the USA Note: Dirt Bike Tire requires 4-8 oz. per tire. Sport ATV Tire 9"-10" requires 16 oz. per tire. Utility ATV/UTV Tires 8"-12" require 32 oz. per tire. Not recommended for extreme high speed competitive applications.

I’m sure that’s good stuff but saying not to use the green stuff is a bit of an over reach, you have mesquites in west Texas correct? Little baby thorns? We have the green stuff in at least a hundred tires running over 6” plus locusts thorns every day all day and it works like a champ.

I use Slime, and have for years. No problems, and it works just fine. But, not saying that there isn’t something as good or better.

But, not saying that there isn’t something as good or better. use what works for you - the quadboss was recommended to me by 2 different shops during sxs & atv tire changes/upgrades slime can rust steel, corrode aluminum wheels - hard to clean up if tire needs fixing & some of it breaks down over time also, some of the inflate a flat emergency sealer if used shops will not fix tire, tells you to junk it (ran in to this on regular automotive type tires )

Used to use Berryman Tire Sealer until it got hard to get. Been using Slime since then with good results.
Yes, it will dry out over time if you have a slow leak and have to keep putting air in tire. It is water soluble so you can wake it up with a cup of windshield washer fluid or pre-diluted anti freeze. It will fix most thorns, etc. on the fly. It will not fix a .22 cal bullet thru both sidewalls though...

I run Slime in my Mule and haven't had a flat in 7 years and we regularly are in heavy mesquite and prickly pairs. I've told this before, but I have a UV flashlight for use in scorpion eradication. One night I happened to shine it on the Mule tires and noticed tons of glowing spots. Slime is fluorescent in blacklights.

I bought the expensive stuff several years ago when I bought my atv. Never had a flat tire until I ran over a big stick and blew out a tire. I think it had fiberglass in it.

I slime every new rig we get. I can tell a huge difference. We have lots of mesquites and cactus, has worked very well for me. Haven’t had flats in years. Started adding it to my lawnmower tires as well, it has been a game changer for me.

Pros, you won't have flats if you do.
Cons, you will have flats if you don't.
I use the red stuff, typically used by tire shops and UTV dealers. Most of them are using the same stuff made by a company in Boyd, Texas. 4 Wheels of Texas is my dealer and they use it, charged me $15.00 per tire and I've never had a low tire, much less a flat and I'm in mesquite and cactus country. This is on stock Maxis tires.
An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

The original question was to slime or not to slime and the answer to that is a resounding "YES" ! if your going to use your machine anywhere off road that has any type of thorns. The question then becomes which product to use. As has been stated above there are numerous ones that work. Personally I use the green stuff however we make it a point to slime twice a year ( spring and fall {just before it gets cold}). As mentioned we're used to seeing lot's of little green dots on the tires as it seals up.
Everyone has their own preferences, however the green stuff has worked fine for us. I have put that thick nasty white stuff in my front Kubota tires and that stopped those flats so its really just a personal preference in the end!
