90 year old grandma is having a problem with her neighbor.

He’s having DoorDash or whatever it is delivered to her house at all hours of the night and it’s scaring the hell out of her. We contacted doordash to try to get it to stop - they claim he’s doing it because he’s using fraudulent/stolen debit/credit cards and it will be linked to her home and not him.

Family has tried to knock on the door to be diplomatic so that there isn’t stuff being delivered and her getting scared when the ring door bell is going off at 2 in the morning and there are people on her porch. He won’t answer the door.

She’s lived here since 1955 and isn’t going to move - honestly things have been ok in her neighborhood for the most part. I prefer to deal with this my way - but it won’t end well. Damned if you do - damned if you don’t.

Any easy solutions we aren’t thinking of here? I don’t want her to get sucked into legal stuff because someone is using her address.

Sounds like Doordash needs a cease-and-desist letter delivered to them.

I'm in Mesquite, I'm 6'4,400lbs. Would be happy to scare the hell out of someone.

So they’ve admitted to accepting a stolen card? More than once?

If he’s ordering Chinese I’d say it’s Sum Ting Wong.

Ask her what are the most common nights and times. Pattern his ordering behavior then stay with her those nights for a few times. Food comes, take it and eat right in front of the house. After awhile he will get tired of feeding you for on his dime.

Or just whip his [censored] and pay the simple assault charge.

I'd go for the later, but sometimes my ideas just don't turn out good.

So he's having doordash deliver to her front door then he's going over there to pick it up? If so, sounds like a pretty easy problem to solve.

Thats crazy that DoorDash or any other business would knowingly accept stolen credit cards for payment for service or goods, one would think that makes them an accomplice to all crimes associated with using those stolen credit cards!

Hope the dirt bag next door gets what he/she deserves whip whip

When someone stole our CC last year, they ordered Door dash but didn’t change the address (dumb arse).. so it was delivered to my home address, also the billing address.
Typically the Cc company will work it out with the retailer, but in this case, the product was delivered to my address and neither the retailer nor the bank would do chit about it other than reissue another card. There were other fraudulent charges I was reimbursed for, but not that one.

Is he coming to get the food off her doorstep? I would get a ring camera, catch the neighbor coming to her doorstep at all hours of the night, and then use it as evidence he is doing these things. I would take the statements from doordash and turn it into PD. Gives them reason to ransack house and attempt to look for stolen cards.

Or every time food is delivered, I would throw a nice heeping pile of sheit on the food and deliver it to his door step. Better yet, take the food and smear it all over his doorstep or front door. Just keep plastering it all over. Should get the hint after awhile.

It's been taken care of - or so it seems. It's not the homeowner - it was his teenage daughter's boyfriend. The homeowner and his wife work nights. So it was going on while they were gone and they weren't aware. We did have a talk with the actual homeowner and he said he'd put a stop to it. So far he has.

Mesquite PD can't do anything unless THEY physically catch him on the property. She has a Ring doorbell and great security cameras. He was pretty much hiding out in the shadows on the side of her house while it was being delivered and he'd run onto her porch and grab it once delivered.

She needs to move to a retirement community. That would solve all the problems - but my uncle has her convinced otherwise.
