That is exactly right. Better create another savings account for all the libtards that hold degrees and would rather paint kids to walk down a drag runway instead.

If a man will buy a wife, a degree surprises nobody.

Three degrees (BA, MDiv, and DMin) without loans. Paid in full through scholarships, grants, and personal payments while in school.

Paid off loans that I took when my two children did their undergraduate degrees. Paid off fairly quickly after graduation. I have two grandchildren in college, with four more coming up behind them, and I hope each avoids debt because of scholarships and grants. The first two are each halfway through without any loans.

I don't want anyone to incur debt to get a good education in order to improve them personally and professionally. Higher education in America has gotten mighty expensive. While the answer is not government (that's you and me) payouts, something must be done to reduce the cost of an education.

If the Democrats don't have their butts handed to them in November, more bad things are surely to come.

Cookie Monster things that would reduce the cost of college.

1. Get banks out of it.
2. Get the federal government out of it.
3. Stop telling everyone with a pulse they have to go to college.
4. Stop BS degree plans and classes. Why should there be a college course on Taylor swift or bowling etc etc or a degree is gender studies?

None of these things will happen but that’s the answer

This is very true. The cost is outrageous! As a nurse, our lovely government passed a bill or whatever stating that they wanted 80% of nurses under the age of 50 to get a bachelors in nursing. At the time, I was kind of on board with it (even though I only had an associates and passed my national certification) considering that it was one of the only professions that required such a low level of education. I mean we technically deal with people's lives and their health every single day so a little extra education couldn't hurt a thing. UNTIL I went through the year and a half of schooling to get my bachelors and realized how much of a joke the education was. I soon realized timing was everything. I sat back and thought about it from an economical standpoint. The great collapse in 2008 proved that less people had children. Across the board, all colleges were starting to see lower and lower tuition due to less going to college. Multiple universities were struggling from the lack of money coming in. So a way to boost colleges money were to target a larger population from 23-50 years old and mandate that these nurses go back to college and get their bachelors. It doesn't matter which college you picked, online or in person, or a big university or small university, the cost was 11,500 for the entire course to get enough credits to get a bachelors in nursing. The education was beyond pointless, I didn't pick up a single book, never did it help me clinically for my patients, and it was all based on management style of nursing. I was actually pissed off when I completed it all because it felt like such a waste of time and energy. I truly believe the government pushed so hard so they could boost more money to these universities that were struggling.

Executive Action, Biden spent between 500 billion and a Trillion dollars without Congressional approval, it is not Constitutional, but the democrats don't seem to care.

What pissed me off even more.... As soon as I received my diploma in the mail, I received an email from my employer stating they no longer would hold staff to their contract of receiving their BSN within 5 years of hire because of how many walked away from nursing due to COVID. So if I had held off for a little longer, I wouldn't of had to waste my own money to get a pointless degree. Never have I had to take a student loan and I just hustled 40-50 hour work weeks, ate a bunch of cereal and made sure I had enough to pay off all my schooling each semester so I didn't have to take a student loan. My sister in law is 400k deep in student loans to become a doctor. I know my brother is struggling as she barely brings anything in as a resident doctor now and he is paying for 90% of the bills still until she is out of residency. He still won't qualify for any help though because his yearly wage exceeds what they are saying qualifies to receive this money to pay off student loans. So they still have to figure out how to pay off a second mortgage. College tuition is absolutely outrageous and is a huge part of why so many have fear of going to college I believe. At 18 years old, most lack enough capacity to understand that kind of debt and how to achieve paying it off. These colleges use young minds to make them suckers to their debt. It is part of the problem in why there is so much student loan debt in this country.

It is 2022.... I could be anything. But I like women, love fishing and hunting, and when I woke up, I stood and peed. So far from being a woman. The whole situation pisses me off. Instead of bailout, Colleges could of fixed this a long time ago. But since colleges are so far up the democratic party's [censored], this whole situation doesn't surprise me at all.

Do I get an exemption since I paid mine in full?

That's up to the president you voted for! Unfortunately, none of us are getting an exemption. Especially if you are hitting the 22-32% tax brackets.

No, you get to help pay for someone who was/is irresponsible.

It's worse than that. We're also going to be paying for folks that HAVE been paying on their loans!

I am pissed. Worked my tail off and paid for my college. Graduated debt free without any financial aid. My son just graduated college. Again debt free. He worked all the way through and paid what he could. The wife and I paid the rest of his expenses. Now Biden is telling me I have to pay on someone else’s college debt? BullChit is what this is. I don’t believe it is my responsibility to prop up entitled financially irresponsible lazy azzes. That sonafabotch Biden is bleeding the middle class to support everyone of his stupid ideas.

Lol its not like we dont already pay for all their medical issues either ya know? Now this just tacked on to it as well. It amazes me how many homeless uninsured people come through and get help. Knowing damn well our tax dollars are what paid for his irresponsible visit to shoot up and get an abscess that we had to fix so he could go do it all over again.

The bottom line is it is not his money to spend. It is the taxpayer’s money.

Where are you getting an interest free student loan? I have a kid in college and would love to get in on that action. Current Federal Unsubsidized loans are around 5.6% and Parent Plus loans are around 7.5%. 3rd party loans are in the 6's. This is compounding interest as well. The loan crap they have been doing during COVID is just a pause in payments. Interest is still accruing on those loans and since it compound interest, it's all being added to the loan amount which then gets interest applied to the interest.

For the record, I'm against the 10K loan forgiveness. There are better things they could do for students than a token 10K payment.

Thanks,
Rich
