The wife and MIL love my meatloaf, 'cause I drench the top in ketchup while cooking. I'll cheat and use Sweet Baby Ray's when I can, after cutting. Delicious!!! Even had a ripe Heirloom tomato. They are ugly, but so sweet!!

My wife make 2 small loafs, one with ketchup and one without. I like the Whataburger spicy ketchup on mine.

Loos great. No ketchup here either. Mixture of BBQ sauce and Chili sauce.

I usually use Hinze 57 on meatloaf but sometimes BBQ or what ever I feel like.

Good looking plate of food right there Love a good meatloaf with celery and onions in it, always put ketchup on it, will have to try BBQ sauce next time.

After the meatloaf is done, I "ice" it over with a can of tomato pate. It's very good. Also, you can use Heinz Chile sauce instead of catchup. Tastes great!

Saw this and wondered why we haven’t had meatloaf for so Long! I wanted to try the bbq sauce but got shut down hard and fast by the meatloaf purist at home.

That's meatloaf? Looks great. My Mom's meatloaf was very good, but it didn't look like those above. It was always, and I mean always, served with mashed potatoes and English peas. I always reserved the mashed potatoes until all of the English peas had been eaten. However many peas stuck to the mashed potatoes on my fork, that's how many peas were eaten per mouth full.

We like to get a nice roasted crust all around it, so make the log and put it on a rack or great. When we go ito production mode for frozen slices and sandwich slices we will pack them into glass bread pans and do 6 at a time.
