This is the older dog. He will turn 7 this fall.

Second picture is my son quail hunting with the same dog.

This is the new one. He will be a year old Halloween. He has been looking good in training. We have some stuff planned and I am looking forward to getting him in some birds.

She keeps busy in the off-season by shed hunting.

Old Girl, miss her everyday. Been gone just over a year now. She was a goodin!

Her sons first hunt.

This is Millie, our 9 month old Boykin Spaniel.

He looks like he ought to move pretty good scalebuster.

She can cover some ground. She’s 6 now and is a bird finding machine. She’ll hold them all day too. Bonnie moved into the top dog spot last year. She’s a race horse. She’s a dog you have to grab by the collar to make her stop long enough to take a drink. Every shorthair pup we’ve gotten out of BDK kennel was like that, and easy to train.

The black Brittany lost something after the litter of pups. I think it spread her feet out. I used to not be able to run her and Bonnie together because it turned into a race. They work good together now.

My pup is still at the trainer, will be home before duck season. I gotta say though, I'm jealous as hell of the pointing dog pictures. I'd love to get in on a wild quail or pheasant hunt behind a good set of dogs.

Needed some red dog representation in this thread.

Picking up this little fireball from the trainer next Friday. Can’t wait for her first duck season.

Great looking pup and cute kids. We are picking up a puppy in mid-October (7 week old). Very excited.

Thank you. That’s the day I dropped her off (May 4th). I’m like a kid at Christmas waiting to see her again.

Made it home with Ruby yesterday. Ever tried to get it toddlers and a puppy to look at the camera at the same time?

We have a hunt in Kansas coming up so we got in a little tune up yesterday. Had one llewellin setter that was showing some gun anxiety early but by day's end she solidly pointed the last two birds, fetched one and seemed to smooth out quite a bit. Also had a buddies' brand new liver and white Brit in the field. She's nine weeks old, going to be a fireball.
