I took the drive from the Houston area to Carmine today to check out the dove prospects on the public land in that area. Carmine East and Hill's Road Units--My mother taught me to say nothing if I didn't have anything good to say..... Carmine West has some potential. The pasture immediately upon entering the property has goat weeds waist high on my wife who is 5 feet 10 inches tall. Very thick growth in that area. The goat weeds are not yet ripe. As you drive deeper into the property the goat weed cover becomes sparse. Finally back near the pumping unit and tank battery the pasture appears to have had a herbicide applied. The goat weeds and some of the other non-grass vegetation are dead.
Luck favors the prepared mind.

That could get good in a hurry.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
