You can prolly print a PDF copy of it if you want. I've been in the printing industry 26 years, paper (or board) is the biggest cost. Printing annuals costs the TPWD a lot of money. Unless you want the cost of your license to increase, use the website. You can get the app on your phone and have the annual anytime.

I get mine at the feed store, last year the Annuals were two weeks earlier than when license went on sale. I dont have a smart phone and all that. Talking about cost, i used to get TP&W mag, its been 6 years since i stopped it and about every 6 months i still get in the mail a special offer if i would sign up again. Talk about cost!

i usually get one... one, sort of tradition... get your license and your O.U. Plus, good emergency toilet paper or backup firestarter.

With the volume of dullards who teach Hunter Education, reading a printed copy is a good idea.

A printed copy makes it much easier to find information for sharing with students than searching through a cellphone app. Still, I could see where some instructors who have access to a PC, projector, and Internet access would prefer to use the app and show screen images on the wall.

I got my license at the state park. They had a whole box of the books sitting on the counter.

Well it looks like they did not print them last year due to rona. So maybe this year they are printing again.

They were not available for the 2020-2021 season because the publisher would not pay the cost as they had done for many years due to COVID and it's financial impact on their business.

They were available last year for the 2021-2022 season.

I have not seen one myself for the 2022-2023 season and don't remember seeing them at my local Academy when I purchased my new license earlier this week. Again, I was told by a TPWD employee in Austin they are now a thing of the past.

If you have an Outdoor Annual from last year, it might be good to hold onto as a memento. I understand some have saved them for decades.

I used to love flipping through those things when I was a kid. The app is too easy to use to bother printing them anymore

If no printed manual, an outdoorsman would have to own or have access to a computer, internet, etc. Doesn’t make sense and could be a defense in court. I haven’t had a printer in quite awhile.
