Technically a White Amur but grass carp is also correct. I shot him while bow fishing on Whitney. He likely washed out of somebody’s pond and was swimming around in a school of smallmouth buffalo. It took me a minute to figure out what he was.

I’m no pro, but I would have called it a grass carp and more specifically a white Amur. Shot one in college that went almost 60 lbs.

an uglyazz fish that I wouldn't have spent the money to mount. 
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Hooked one in the tail one time that was probably 70# and 2 of us tried to get it into the boat, but finally gave up and just let it go.
