A buddy recently bought a decent size piece of property in Anderson County, told me there weren't any hogs on it. I just laughed. Within two weeks he was sending me pic after pic of hogs on his game cams.

What a shameless self-promotion. And the pic doesn't inspire confidence, more like "Scam!" (woocommerce???) Where are they made? I bought a slow glow, built outside of Austin. 'Scared the hell out of a boar I'm hunting for at least a week. Well-made product, but don't mount a camera to their solar package 'cause it acts like a sail and will trigger the motion sensor on the camera non-stop.

Yes, the 'slow glow' will spook hogs. That is why I created this light. Only intended to help this guy. I spent over 12 months designing the circuit for this light so that it fades on very, very slowly over a 90 sec time period. It doesn't spook them. I have a camera built into my PLATINUM light. The ILLUMINATOR has no camera. I also designed the PVC mounting kit for my light. The light is intended to shine DOWN on the hogs, not AT them like the slow glow. Anyone can get a colored spotlight and light up a feeder area. That is NOT what I have designed. Please take a look at this video to see what I'm talking about. By the way, that mounting kit holds the light very securely and steady, even in high winds and only animal movement under the light will trigger it to brighten. My light solves most if not all the issues that other lights present. I love hog hunting whenever and wherever I want and that is why I created this.

By the way my lights are built right here in Houston, Tx, by me. One guy. I designed everything and made it happen and now I have a great light that will benefit hog hunters.
And that "SCAM" picture is a prototype model image from Fusion 360 when I was in the final design stage for the mounting kit.

Impressive!

Two large boars hanging out...I am going to guess they are likely long term mates.

Still, they keep shrinking as they get closer to the feeder.

Could you keep it alive til the wise county contest? As I understand it is the hog has to be checked within 24 hours of being shot, and can be from anywhere? Looks like a lot of money to me banana

I actually emailed them and they are checking the law for transporting a dead hog from Arkansas to Texas. I personally checked with both Arkansas and Texas game wardens. 3 in each state and all six stated that there is
no law saying I cannot transport a "dead" hog from my place in Arkansas to Wise county Texas. Of course I would only make that drive if I thought I would be in the money. Looks like it would take
a 300 plus for me to make the trip.

I am very lucky, I have gotten 1-2 inches of rain almost every week this summer. Rained Monday and Wednesday this week.

That pig is easily 350+..... assuming it turned out to be 400#, how much money would you stand to win?

A 459lb hog won $77,000 this year..........yes that is $77,000, Second place was in the 388 and it was $42,000. So if that pig did weigh 400lbs,
it would have been worth $42,000. They pay 10 places.
I think last place in the money was around 334 pounds. I don't know what this hog would weigh, but I bet it would be in the money.

That was the case last year. I have made contact with them and they stated to me that they would need to check with
Texas and Arkansas to see if it was legal to cross the state line with a "dead hog".
And that if it is, they would consider opening it up to Arkansas hunters also.
But I don't want to mislead anyone. No decision has been made at this time.

Got one of them. My scale only goes to 300lbs and it quickly bottomed out. So guessing 325-350.
