Might contact Numrich and see if they might know where you can get one or if they're expecting any more. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/products/1455120

Do you have the broken parts? Might not be too hard to make a “working” shroud. Depends on what that little tab does. The thread looks left handed. Yes, gunsmith has the broken parts and pieces and you are correct per the gunsmith, it has left hand threads. Thanks Daniel

Thanks for the support. I have made aluminum ones for Shilen and Hall actions. This could be a challenge

If you have the broken part(s), perhaps it can be repaired. If it is just a a gas shield may be it can be silver soldered back together & buffed out. Just a thought as it sounds like you're getting desperate.....

OKAY Guys, Give me your input, please. I am thinking about taking the rifle back to the gunsmith and asking him to refund my money and leaving the gun with him to do with as he pleases. If I get the charges for the new barrel & machine time back, I won't lose much. Give me your thoughts? Daniel

Have you not told the smith the shroud was broken? Did he hand it back to you with the shroud visibly broken and say “oh well”. I posted last week it is the responsibility of the smith to repair or replace.
BUT if you have waited weeks or months and not told him, good luck with that.

The gunsmith BROKE the shroud re-barreling the gun. I picked the gun up about a week ago, he is fully aware of damage done and who did it. Thanks Daniel

Okay, Problem solved! Not the best solution but one I can live with. Gunsmith is going to give me my money back for the new Shilen barrel plus his his machine time. The amount I paid him and I am going to let him have the gun back. If he gets shroud fixed before I purchase a replacement rifle I will buy the gun back from him for the same amount. Thanks Daniel

My opinion...if he broke he he should fix it. Having said that if he can't or doesn't have the machinery to do so he should pay for the replacement. It doesn't need another barrel it just needs the shroud replaced.
All that out of the way...contact KingX...I'd be shocked if he couldn't make you one. Realize these little one off parts can be time consuming and a smith/machinist needs paid for his time. The more parts it's broken into the harder it is to use the initial part to get specs for the new part...which then means there's a lot of test fitting and that's even more time.
Good luck, it sucks all the way around...if the original guy let you take it from him with it broken then I'd not take it back to him, he can't fix it or he would've already. My 2 cents.

I have a check in hand for what he charged for a new Shillen match grade barrel and machine time to install it. The ONLY WAY for a unbroken shroud to put on the gun is to manufacture one and like said that is a cost prohibited solution. I am not sure if the gunsmith can make a new one or not but he has not made an attempt since it was broken or I picked the gun up without the shroud. I am not sure what the shroud is for but I DID NOT feel comfortable shooting to the point I never fired it with the shroud gone. If the gunsmith gets a new one made before I replace the gun , he was told I will buy it back. Daniel
