Yep, beautiful birds. One tried to get one of my little hens the other day.

Speaking of birds.....here's a young Runner Duck with my youngest daughter. She said "HEY DUCK! Be nice, or I will turn you into duck nuggets."

My little buddy. She will stay up with me and help gut/clean animals until I make her go to bed. Everyone else is asleep, but she'll be right there with me trying to help. A night owl, like me.





Piggie perching at Conn Brown Harbor, no quit in her. The other kids get tired of fishing and go throw rocks, not her. She probably caught 50 perch before I said load up.

This stud was locked down on a doe and was highly irritated at another buck that he had just ran off. Photo was on a small lf place near San Angelo.

I thought that might be a Cooper's hawk. There's a pair that nests in the tree across the street from me. I love to see them fly.

First elk of the year for my buddy. Truck killed elk, elk killed truck!!!

At least it didn't slide up and go through the windshield. That was my biggest fear during about 1.5 seconds of a big bull suddenly appearing on the shoulder of the road...20 miles north of Sanderson in west Texas. By the grace of God, he thought better of stepping on the road and turned around. There was nothing I could have done. I didn't have to change my underwear, but it was touch and go for a while there.

We have had a pair it Harris hawks patrolling our bird feeders for a few years. This year they have been joined by a pair of Redtails and a pair of Mississippi kites…..

We also have a couple owls that hang around…..

This is in addition to the numerous birds, squirrels, and Spitfires pet coon and opossum….

Being 'old' and blind, I actually spotted this lizard on tree limb about 40 ft away

We usually have some kites show up here in the spring. They're neat birds to see. They'd fly up high, and fold their wings back and dive at bugs flying around.

Haven’t found time to post on here lately. Can’t remember what I’ve posted before. I’m running out of good ones. I’ve got 1000s of game cam pics but dont really use this thread for that. This thread is great but gets a little slow sometimes. I really appreciate all the regular posters in here. I think as we get into season it will heat up. I know I will have fresh ones in season.
