Alex’s opinions or statements as his own are one thing, but on his platform as a media company I think it falls under same slander rules. With that said I can’t see how him saying it didn’t happen is slandering family who lost love ones.

Regardless of cross testimony or text’s etc it didn’t slander or defame.

This suit IMO is same has Round up suit, they will use reputation or perceived dishonesty to get a verdict not actual real damage.

If they win, Alex will appeal, it will cause him to have to disclose all his financial info and bond the amount(if he can). They families will realize they will either loose in a no emotional appeal or they will settle for a much lower number.

I went back and forth on it, He is a media platform so it should have higher levels of accountability then individuals, especially since he technically monetized it. I just don’t know if they will prove actual damages. They have a higher chance though with him being a platform then and individual.

It will being interesting to see how it plays out. As a human being he does owe those families an apology that he technically monetized a tragedy.
