T.O.O. is again offering limited hunter dove hunts for the 2022-23 season on a smaller cultivated sunflower field near LaCoste, Texas.

Field is in the South Zone 30 minutes from downtown S.A. 2 miles from LaCoste.

Pictures are from last month, July 2022

We currently will only hunt Saturdays afternoon.

$80 per gun per afternoon hunt. Will need a minimum of 4 hunters to make a hunt happen, combination of hunter groups will work.

10 hunters maximum per hunt day, prefer 7-8 hunters each hunt. All hunts are supervised & hunters will follow all laws & safe hunting actions.

Expect large #'s of Mourning dove with good numbers of Whitewings very possible & expect a few Asian ringnecks.

No alcohol during hunt ( earn our trust & after guns are put away a cold one or two is possible), hunters will pick up all trash & hulls.

This is not pass shooting, this is hunting over an solid planting of hybrid black oil sunflower w/birds coming to the field.

Update for last 3 weekends of October. Still the best rate around, $80 per gun, for hunting cultivated sunflower & 2nd season Sorghum & Millet.

Had a cancellation for this Sunday Oct. 16th, 2 spots available there.

October 22nd or 23rd has one hunter & he'll move to Sunday if others want to hunt Sunday. We'd prefer to hunt Sunday 23rd.

Sunday Oct 30th has 3-4 spots open

We've got solid bird numbers right now, not super hot but enough to get a barrel hot. Thinking the front coming in late Sun/Mon will bring some birds to the field from elsewhere. Expect last two weekends to be burners.

2nd split starts Dec 17th runs thru Jan 22nd. We'll hunt Sat or Sun each weekend except we'll figure out what to do Christmas weekend.

2nd split has been fantastic shooting in SE Medina county previous years, expect it to be so again this year.

3 hunters, three limits on 10-22-22. Enough birds for 10-15 hunters to limit.

2nd split is going to be hot, sorghum loving the 1.75" rain last Monday w/more forecast this Monday & millet is germinating. Sunflowers still holding good seed, birds are thick.

$80 a gun, max of 7-8 hunters.
