My wife saw this on Facebook , the backstory is a weathered boer goat escaped the family ranch and was lost until one day he was spotted with his new family. They see him from time to time running with the sounder. I thought it was unique [video:youtube] https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jPN3plKiBUg[/video] TO PLAY THE VIDEO PRESS THE SMALL PLAY SYMBOL IN THE UPPER LEFT CORNER OF THE SCREEN WHEN IT LOADS ON YOUTUBE

I've sure never seen that! I didn't think hogs made friends with anything but deer corn. . .

Talk about associating with low company … Which? The goat or the pigs?

We always joke grinding meat on sausage making day that deer and hogs make friends at the grinder.

Our goats play with our 13 year old grandson, but then sometimes they smell alike.
If you find yourself feeling useless, remember it took 20 years, trillions of dollars, and four presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.
Sometimes the Universe puts you in the same situation again to see if you’re still a dumbass.

It actually makes perfect sense. Goats are herd animals so I'm sure he was looking for a new herd to join. I've got 3 goats and a pet pig on our place, and Hugo would be a lost piggy if his goat buddies didn't allow him to be part of the herd.

20 years ago, I foolishly bought one weathered goat. Penned him in knee high rye grass, and he screamed and screamed. Then I moved him into a pen with my big male Labrador, that of course was as sweet as dogs come. The goat settled down. It didn't take long, the dog followed me and the goat followed the dog. The goat got full run on the 2 acres and went into the kennel at night with the dog. And I always saw him browsing all the leaves he could reach. Worked out perfectly.

A couple years ago a wild hog started running with the cattle near my place. They could be seen from the road eating, grazing or bedded down together for almost a year. All the locals let the hog alone but finally a road hunting a$$ shot it from the road and left it.

I have a coworker who has a young female who was left behind by her group, now hangs with the cows. 1st hog I shot was on small farm with horses...she hung with the horses.
