Those clever little [censored]. They always put on a good show every time I put the SD card in the computer 🤣. Figured the disc and cage would take care of certain issues . But they just keep going back to the drawing board. I really don’t know how he got up there but there he is . Been meaning to go take care of a few cuz there are a bunch now but I watched my coyotes clean house on some so I guess I let nature run it’s course ? Sister was watching the cam with me one frame little baby coon she’s says aww aren’t they cute next frame yote stalking next frame snatches his corn stealing [censored] up next frame he was being eaten 🤣🤣🤣 her face was priceless

I have shown this one prior, but worth repeating. Have it saved on my desktop as Coon Power.

They are relentless and will stop at nothing for some corn. Saw 5 on camera the other day. Gonna get my Duke's ready for some action. Either dry cat food or small marshmallows work good.

just encountered the same deal at one spot, up to 5 at a time. they loosened the wing nuts that hold the varmint cage and dropped it to the ground. I'll run 4-5 traps at that spot until I catch them all, trick is more always seem to be present than what shows on camera. keep running the Dukes until you don't catch anymore. Ran Dukes for about 2 years and hadn't had a problem until recently, been about a year since I ran traps at this spot. Literally caught 80-90 in the 2 years, just at this one spot.

Where does one squire these traps . And I only go out to the feeder every couple weeks . I just picture a bunch of rotting coons in traps for weeks until I go reset ? Any other way to get rid of them or you just have to be adamantly on top of them .

Any other way to get rid of them or you just have to be adamantly on top of them . May not work for your situation if you only go out every couple of weeks. You generally have to check traps every 36 hours, so we set them as soon as we get there and unset before we leave

You can buy the traps directly from Dukes or shop the other trapping supply stores; RP Outdoors F&T trappers supplies etc. I also like the Z traps better as they have a two way trigger, they can be tripped by either pushing or pulling the trigger. Color won't matter, I prefer the white powder coated ones. https://www.ztraps.net/shop/raccoon...ort_by=category_order&sort_order=asc

. . . . I just picture a bunch of rotting coons in traps for weeks until I go reset ? You'd probably find an empty sprung trap full of leg hair, or a leg nub where the coyotes took the trash out for you. They used to empty my gopher traps fairly often. One of the lessons I learned about properly anchoring a trap. The animal in a trap doesn't always tote your trap off to parts unknown. Sometimes it's a something grocery shopping. Check with the RP outdoors people. They'll steer you right and they're just across the way in Louisiana, so they know what works regionally

The stench of death is something you do not want at a feeder.
