The ultimate test of fate. Buy a ticket, write down the numbers, then burn the ticket. The thought of that bothers me for some reason.

Jackpot is $ 660 million with a $388 cash value. Say you won it and took the cash value option which is what I would do.
$388 mil - 25% fed tax would leaves you with $291,000,000.00
Would you give any of it away or?
Right off the get go I would setup a trust for my two kids giving each $50 Million ($100 mil).. So now I am down to a paltry $191 mil. Now the wife and I would each give $30 mil ($60 Mil) to friends and family. Down to $131 mil easy peasy, I am going to spend about $40 mil on ranches and vacation homes leaving us with $91 mil to cover cost until death do us part.
So whats your plan?? What goes around comes around. If you win, I will spend some good time with your wife. She'll probably end up appreciating you more so you will win twice. Okay Hudbone sounds like a plan, you handle the wife and I will do whatever sounds good on Gods Green earth that I can I promise that is a win for me and I appreciate you baby sitting the wife for me Well now that I am sober I might want to re-think my comment above. Let's see in a previous topic/thread you shared that your nickname was something like Grande Serpiente (Big Snake) I kind of like my wife so I am going to Crawfish on you baby sitting her

The ultimate test of fate. Buy a ticket, write down the numbers, then burn the ticket. I kinda did that. Bought a quick pick and looked at the numbers when I was walking to the truck and they sucked. Every number except the bonus ball thing was in the 60's. Gave the ticket to a homeless guy and turned around and went back in to buy another one.

But Bobo: Think of the grand scale you could farm on, until it was gone!!! Ha, I’d return my family place back to what it once was. Then I’d buy a big ranch in Idaho or Wyoming, and then laugh when reading about myself on a western hunting forum for destroying access and closing private property. I’d be the new Wilks Brothers 2.0 I would also pull a George Strait, buy a 72’ Viking and chase bill fish a few months out of the year down in South America

Sounds like a great idea. A few years back, the wife and I were fortunate to spend a couple weeks with Tom and Janet Hammond (owns Recordbuck Ranch) hunting on a friends place in Namibia. Janet and my wife got talking, and while she tolerates the hunting her real love is billftshing, and they keep a boat and crew in Costa Rica just so she can go down whenever she want!!! My idea of fun.

No winners. Next drawing is an estimated $790,000,000 https://www.omnicalculator.com/finance/lottery-taxLump sum payout Annuity payout Difference Gross payout* $464,400,000 $663,428,571 $199,028,571 Federal tax $171,764,523 $243,564,248 $71,799,725 State tax $0 $0 $0 Net payout $292,635,478 $419,864,327 $127,228,850 Estimated cash value $464,000,000.00 using a tax calculator from an online app specifically for your state taking the lump sum which I think includes all taxes Fed tax & income. Fed tax is 24% of 464,400,000 = $111,456,000 - $464 Mil = $352,944,000. Using the tax calculator which includes Fed tax & income tax makes the net cash payout is $292,635,478.00 Okay back to my original thought of distributing the proceeds with a couple of minor changes to include some other folks that I meant to have in the original and a little less for others. Almost the same for each of our two kiddo's, they would each receive a $40,000,000.00 trust, total $80 mil leaving $212,635,478.00. Family and friends will get $30 mil from each of us total $60 mil leaving $152,635,478. $20 mil to Hospitals& Charities that take care of children and battered women and their children for free in the DFW. $10 mil to our local DFW Police & Fire folks to help them where they really need it. Leaving $122 Mil and some change. Around $30 + mil for a ranch here in Texas, one in northern New Mexico or southern, Colorado and a couple of vacation homes wherever. Guessing around $2 mill to the local fire & police dept. around our ranches. Donations to the Republican party around $5,000,000.00 Which leaves us $80 + mil to cover the cost of everything until death do us part. Then there is another $100,000 - $200,000 as a payoff to keep Hudbone away from my wife Star light, star bright, First star I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have this wish I wish tonight.

In Texas can the winner remain anonymous?
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

I have to drive to Tennessee to buy lottery tickets. The Boss handed me $20 and asked if I would go buy some. I matched her $20 with another $20. Hopefully someone wins to I don't have to make another trip across the state line.
Can't buy lottery tickets in Alabama because gambling is a sin. But I can buy a bottle of hard liquor on Sunday at 10am (right after when most church services end).
coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.
