What’s a good commercial spray rig? I don’t need a full time pro rig, but need to be able to paint the interior and exterior of a home without issues and faster than a cheap Wagner.

What’s the leader in nail guns nowadays? Still Paslode? Need 1 for framing and 1 for siding. No battery powered, only air

I’ve got a paslode framer and a hitachi coil nail gun for siding. They’ve built my house a few sheds and a buddy of mine has them right now building his 4k foot house.

USPS still has that market covered but UPS and FedEx would love to have more of the market share I'm sure.

All I see framers using are Metabo nail guns for a while now.
Back in the day it was Duo-fast.
Good luck finding any kind of nails these days.

Renting the spray rig not an option? I've rented about 3 times over the last 20 years and it worked out great. Glad I didn't have it sitting around those years unused, and the quality of what you can rent is very good.

I've painted a LOT of houses with a Graco X7 with the Graco RAC X Low Pressure tips. They don't come with that tip but it's not expensive and makes that cheaper X7 spray like a $5k Graco rig. If you aren't doing it for a living, that combo will produce great results. I used that rig almost exclusively with the Sherwin Williams Emerald paint which was their best paint at that time (I'm not sure if that has changed since I quit painting).

Paslode is a quality gun. My coworker who has been a framer for 45 years has used a set of porter cable guns that have been through it all and keep on going.

I’ve got a Graco I used one time to stain a fence I’d sell if I can figure out where it’s at. It’s an X7 or 17, I can’t remember without laying eyes on it. Let me know if it’s of interest and I’ll see if I can figure out what shops it in. It’ll have extensions and a bunch of different tips I bought for it and never used.

Built my garage with the Harbor Freight framing nailer and coil siding nailer. Used the siding nailer to replace siding on the barn. Very efficient. The framing nailer has 3 settings for different angle nails.

After looking at specs, it looks like Makita might actually be a strong contender. They have a selectable trigger and weight is one of the lowest. Never owned a Makita pneumatic. Paslode you have to swap triggers.

I run a Hitachi framer and a Graco X7 spray rig, both flawlessly.

I was eyeing the dual tank Makita. My pancake compressor is only 19 years old, it’s got a little life left in it.
