Tim Kennedy was on the Lone Star Outdoor Podcast a few weeks ago, pretty good interview, he talked about the book on the interview.

Thanks all.

I have lots of choices from this list. I generally read two a week so I have a few weeks of reading now.

Empire of the Summer moon is one of my all time favorites.

No Angel by Jay Dobins is a real good one, basically a under cover agent who goes in deep within the Hells Angels organization.....very, very good book.

I just read Endure by Cameron Hanes.....its a fair book. Really remarkable what the guy has done as far as his marathon running but imo the book isn't very well written and the themes are too repetitive. I'll ship this book to whoever wants to read it.

TxTro, Ill take it. I started to order from Thrift Books but its out of stock and $28. My son has started running marathons on the rugged and steep mountain trails of Colorado at high elevation so he and I could probably use it.

Fair description on endure, step below Groggins book, but very similar theme. I did audio, it was not the best dictation, but you could tell cam laid it all out there with honesty. He didn’t steer away from hard truths or hunt costs.

Got a few great ones I would give you if you were closer. I won't read them twice. They are hardback

I like the "Trail" westerns by David R. Lewis. Self-published but fantastic reads.

This is not a book recommendation but hopefully some will find this info helpful. So recently I found out that most if not all public libraries offer free access to their digital library via Overdrive. You can access the ebooks or audiobooks using the Libby or Overdrive app installed on your phone or tablet. I've always preferred a real book but I've adjusted to reading ebooks and have listened to a few audiobooks in the truck. They also have magazines and comic books in digital format available to check out as well. The libraries pool their resources based on the geographic region and allow you to get access to the other digital libraries within their region giving you tons of options.

Pros
1) I'm not collecting stacks of books to figure out how to garage sell or donate.
2) Save some cash flow to buy me some $10 bags of corn. smirk
3) It saves your place switching between your phone and tablet.
4) You don't feel bad having spent money on a crummy book.
5) You can peruse through the books from the comfort of your recliner.

Cons
1) Works on the same library check-out idea so a book you may want to read could be checked out.
2) Some libraries require you to go in to show ID to get a card.
3) Sometimes a title will be available in one format or the other and not both.

For the OP, the link to the Seguin Library is: https://www.seguintexas.gov/my_library_card/index.php and it looks like the library card process is all online.

If you don't want to do an application for a library card or if there is a title you can't find through the library, https://www.readanybook.com/ is another great alternative. It's free and you can access it from your mobile browser. You have the option to create an account and download the ebook but I just choose to read them in the browser and not create an account.

Check your library. My local library has 20 of Tony Hillerman books available on Overdrive. Sixteen of them are also available in audiobook format.

Anything by Capstick in Africa. I have all but a couple of them.

Ive read all but 3 Louis LaMour’s. I enjoyed them due to the reality of the country that he wrote about. He is a better researcher than author.

I really like Westerns, especially about Texas in the 1800’s. I buy them cheaply at the second Monday flea market in Bowie. And then give them back to the old woman who sells them. A friend calls them “Shootem ups.
