While paying to shop irks me, there is no denying we save money by getting certain items there. Shelving for the new shop is a great example. We saved $300 on those, compared to the cheapest price I could find online or at the blue or orange places.

But there are things that call to me, that go wrong.

Apple Turnovers are the biggie for me. They look SO GOOD. They are DO GOOD...at least the first 2-3, then they go soggy.

Things to buy at Sams.

We buy these quite often and they are so good and easy to cook, 400 degrees for 35-40 minutes depending upon size and they are fricking good!

And their big fat juicy rotisserie chicken for $4.98 you just cannot beat that.

They have pretty good steaks. Back when I could afford beef, we'd get filets from there. 1 filet was big enough for 2 people.

Things not to buy...the giant arse tub of pork rinds because then they'll get eaten.

Sport drinks are a good price. We get a 24 pk for the same price as 12 pk at Kroger

Sushi from Sam’s sucks. Clothes also…cheap & looks decent but does not last long.

Agreed on the clothes. I bought a couple button down fishing shirts there for less than $20 each, but the stitching was horrendous. Costco has all kinds of great buy on clothes and the quality is far superior.

I have no problems with most things there but years ago I bought some pre cut frozen steaks there. Bad mistake. Tough like from an old bull.

I've quit buying Batteries there. Energizer AA batteries. They look like regular retail batteries, but twice I have found big Sams packs that I have had less than 2 years, still 3+ years from expiration, but batteries in the unopened package were leaking. Have not seen this with smaller retail packages, purchased from other places.

Could they be a special grade of battery being made for Sam's

No question on the Costco being superior on meat and seafood. Costco is just better all around IMO. The warranties, service, annual exec member rebate, and other perks at Costco are great. We used to have memberships to both, but I let Sam's expire b/c we just didn't use it.

Now I will say, inflation at Costco right now is real. I can't believe how much prices have gone up on items that I know the exact price history on because I've bought them for many years.

It's very real at SAMs as well. We get all our paper products from SAMs and the prices have gone way up. I used to get their 6 pack of canned chicken for my food preps, normally around 9-10 bucks. We were there last week and it had doubled to 18 bucks. Will not be buying any more until it starts to come down.

I also buy their 50 pound bags of dried beans and their 25 pound bags of long grain rice. It is great for breaking down into smaller mylar bags with oxygen absorbers. Weirdly enough the price on both those have not gone up very much at all.

Sam's brand water tastes off to me. Probably just in my head though.

4 pound packages of Wrights bacon, whole Pork Loin, Country Style ribs, NY Strip steaks, Sirloin steaks and Ground beef are usually great at Sam’s club. Fresh fruit is usually a toss up. The strawberries are often fuzzy and blueberries are over ripe.

Same, batteries for the camper (6v in series) have lasted a good while, too.

I bought one of those portable 22 inch table top griddles on sale for $80 last week. Runs on the small green bottles of propane. Excited to give it a try at the lease this fall.

That's my $.02. Here's you're change!!

Costco so much better. Sams is just a Walmart that sells in bulk.
