That poor hero. I wonder how it would turn out if a would-be hero chose not to get involved and then after the fact announced to the world that he could have stopped a shooter at killing 3 people but instead 30 were killed because he did nothing.

Now why do you want to try and ruin a good left-wing narrative by taking a common sense approach.

The mall should refuse to press any charges and rip those gun free signs down immediately.

If it's some state law that the mall be gun free, the mall should be paying his legal fees.

I don’t think it was a gun free zone. The Police Chief said,

“the real hero of the day is the citizen that was LAWFULLY carrying a firearm in that food court and was able to stop this shooter almost as soon as he began.”

Young man was 22 years old and deserves much praise!

They should show the video of this 22 yr old to the Uvalde police, it could be a training video for them. But they would probably stand outside in the hall until the video is over.

I saw it on the news last night and even the local law enforcement seems to be backing him on this.

It should be gun free except for law biding citizens that have a license to carry and this incident should tell them that if they have even half a damn brain!

"And even though Greenwood Park Mall's policy bars customers from carrying weapons, Relford emphasized that it would not automatically be a crime if someone violates such a policy.

Greenwood Park Mall's no-weapons policy is akin to a "no shoes, no shirt, no service" sign you might see at a gas station. If a customer does not adhere to the policy, Relford said, a business owner can demand that the customer leaves. And if the customer ignores that demand, the customer is now trespassing, which is an Indiana crime.

"So the fact that (Greenwood Park Mall) had a no-gun policy creates no legal issue whatsoever for this gentleman," Relford said, "and it certainly has no effect whatsoever on his ability to use force to defend himself or to defend the other people in the mall."
