Anyone know a reputable and reasonable person/shop around Weatherford to do a leveling kit on a F150? Would do it myself but heard of and even seen issues with iew/hub issues after improper leveling kit install. Done numerous silverado kits, but need someone more experienced with F150 to do this one.

This is the only kit for a F150 that I would use. I’ve installed numerous of these on F150’s and they are designed right to make the alignment easy with no required extra parts.

Find a ready lift dealer and have them install the ready lift level kit on your ford.

A lot of folks use spacers and blocks, I'm not a fan and won't buy a truck that has them. I'd suggest whom ever you use (not 4wd off road parts) put new struts on it. You don't need anything in the back if you're just leveling. The last shop I used was Dallas Offroad, they were fairly priced and fixed a lift that wasn't installed right. They are over on 35E and a ways from you though...I'm sure there is someone closer.

Good luck.

If you knew how these F150’s front ends work, it’s not as simple as adding new struts. There’s a reason AutoLift builds them offset. If you simply put long struts, or non offset spacers, then your struts will hit the frame when fully extending.

Besides, spacers above the strut maintains the same ride quality.

My F150 looked like a station wagon (if anyone remembers what a station wagon is) until I leveled it out by adding Bilstein struts. Levelled it out and it looked a lot better, rode better, got worse gas mileage, tires wore ok, but then the cam phasers crapped out at 63k, so I had it repaired and got rid of it.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

If the leveling kit causes additional wear and stress on some front end parts , why do dealerships install them on brand new trucks without voiding the warranty ?

I did my 2014 F150 FX4 myself with no issues (front 2.5" spacers). The only thing I learned is that I had to remove the two studs on the lower strut pin in order to remove and re-install the strut. This kept me from having to remove the lower control arm. After the install of the leveling kit I had it aligned but the before and after alignment chart showed it was still within the alignment parameters. I can run 35" TOYO Open Country M\T's on stock 20" wheels without interference.

So they can keep the student mechanics busy and up charge you for it?

And they have huge markups on accessories like this. I put adjustable Bilstein 6112 coilovers on my Tundra and no way I would use spacers on my truck but Tundras are different then Fords. Spacers are fine for pavement queens.
