I’ve got 180k on the Tundra, and I average about 10k miles per year, so 200k should get me to 2024. But, 200k isn’t that much on a Tundra, and I’m not sure what I’m gonna do. Unless the truck craters, I don’t have to do anything.

Now that everything seems to be getting away from the V8 I think I'm going to keep the 2021 Ram a real long time. I used to not go much over 100k and swap.

My last truck was at 290K, so I checked 300,000. I will probably run this one at least that much

When I was broke, I bought a used truck from my dad with 200k miles on it.
I drove it another 240k.
They guys at Autoshack, then Autozone, knew me when I walked in the door.
They lost money on me on lifetime brake shoes and alternators.

a loaner fleet truck at work is 2005 or 6 Chevy silverado. Original engine, Original Transmission, Only routine maintenance and the usual wear items have been replaced, 543,000 miles. Runs like a top. Never uses oil between services.

Traded my last truck 05’ Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 hemi in on a 16’ Ram 2500 4x4 6.7 diesel and the hemi had 213,000 mi on it with nothing more than routine maintenance and a broke ground wire to the TPIM that drove me nuts for about three weeks till I finally found it.

Sold one that only had 39,000 on it and another some years back that had 288,000. Got one now that only has about 20,000. Had it 2 1/2 yrs. but being retired I don't drive that much anymore.

I get a new one every 10 years whether I need one or not. Next Feb. is the month for my next one, but my 2013 has only 54k on it right now. I may keep it another five with the way things are right now. My company truck is a 2020, 107,000 on it, we usually go 200k on those.

Not long typically…mine has nothing to do with mileage and more to do with I get tired of driving it or something happens I don’t like. 31 months is my record, I’ve been like that since I got my license…but I can tell it’s starting to be time for a change, I can’t deal like I used too…seems shutting down the economy and government spending (like it’s not their money) does have its effects on things. I still like what I’m driving and I still can’t drive to the dealership and buy the Bronco I want…so no current vehicles crisis at my house.
My wife on the other hand will drive her stuff FOREVER!!! She’s either in year 7 or 8 and she doesn’t like having a vehicle with 100k…so I know it’s coming any day…she doesn’t drive much so that goes a long time for her.

Drove my 99 dodge ram until 2008 and it had 250k on it. Things were starting to fall apart. Literally, something fell off the truck underneath and it was loud enough to hear it go but it kept driving so I never looked. When I moved to Houston, had kids and commuted thats when I decided to keep something more reliable. Do a trade on something used with about 30k on it. Since then I started working from home and drive maybe 5k a year so I dont know what I will do. About to pay off this 2014 f250 but it rides rough/loud. Might keep it and get something smoother for in town.

"How long do you keep your Truck"
That means years to me rather than miles. My Tacoma is 24 this August.

My daily is a 2000 with 235k miles. I've got a 94 and a 96 that I hope to have running soon to rotate in.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I’ve bought them with 200k on them. I bought a 99 f150 with over 200k a few years ago and drove it for several years, only bought used tires for it, only ever had to replace the starter. When the window switches quit working I pulled them apart, cleaned with a q tip and denatured alcohol, worked just fine. Sold it when we moved, right before I left the Army, so we wouldn’t have to move three vehicles. Wish I still had it.
My wife on the other hand always wants new car.
