I'm planning a road trip. If possible, rather than the chain motels, I'd sort of like to step back to yester year and stay at a small, plain motel. Nothing fancy. My main concern- BUG FREE. Any recommendations for Snyder? Such as "stay at the wagon wheel motel and eat dinner at Betty's Café. Thanks. Alternate town on trip would be Sweetwater.

It's been a few years ago when we fished Alan Henry lake at Justiceburg we stayed at the Beacon on east side of town across highway from Rip Griffins truck stop about 1/2 mile. It was real clean and run by good people. Had a oil derrick with sign on top.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for. I'm sort of sick and tired of the big chains.
Return the favor: America's Best Value in Junction. Real nice. Lobby has a lot of good whitetail mounts. And you can have dinner at Coopers BBQ.
