This is the time of the year when you find new hunting products appearing in magazines and on store shelves. Something I noticed in my favorite magazine is "a premium new line of Micro Brew Craft Scents". The MSPR for Trapper John's Ultimate Buck Lure is just $29.99. Hopefully, those $7 bottles of Tink's 69 will still be available to us po folks.

Most people use way too much scent when they use it
A bottle should last a very long time
A deer doesn't need an ounce of pee to catch the scent

The more it costs the better it is.

Recently paid $5.99 for a bottle of coon pizz at Academy and I thought that was outrageous!

Amazing how many catchy marketing keywords they were able to incorporate onto a single small label. Secret, Ultimate, Super Premium, Highly Attractive, High Performance, Complex, Magnum. Can't believe they left out Ultra. Must be too many copyrights on that one already. Can't wait to see a hunting show host use all those keywords in a sentence when promoting the product during a filmed hunt. Commercialization of hunting has gotten ridiculous. juggle

They might want to fix the description though. "Let the coyotes come to you using the Wildlife Research Center Trapper John’s Ultimate Buck Lure 4 Oz Bottle". Although I bet it would make a good coyote lure.

$3.99 buys you 4 fluid ounces of racoon kidney waste from RP Outdoors trapping supply just across in
Louisiana. $19.99 buys a half a gallon if you're a big time pee aficionado

Last time I bought doe urine, it was on clearance for 25 cents for a package of the 2 brown glass bottles.
That's been 6-8 years ago

they forgot Deluxe as well.
However, i would say Tinks 69 has worked well for me, but i have no evidence to prove it.... just game pictures hammer

I think I remember years ago a texas wildlife biologist did a study that indicated human pee worked just as well in mock scrapes as deer pee. So if I drink a six pack of Michelob Ultra first would that make it Ultra pee?

I've never had any luck with scents and haven't used any in probably 15 or 20 years. Certainly not crazy about paying out the wazoo for it either. Hard pass.

I'm a real believe in scents...I use Tinks 69 for years. I use very little at a time...one drop. I keep older bucks around my blind year around. I use the scent from September to March.

I'm not sure I even know what Indian Corn is...my guess is it the colored corn? Where do ya get this corn and how much do I expect to pay. I will try it just for grins. The regular corn I use will keep bucks around until the does come in then they move around ..using Tinks they may leave for a day or so but normally they come right back.

I can make a coyote put its paw on a tiny little pan with just a few drops of the right lure. No bait at all just an eye dropper of lure. Take a piss on a bedded steel trap and see how that works out.

Using Code Blue Doe Estrous I have pictures of bucks with their noses touching the scent wick.
That's the only one I use.

That’s not a bad price. It’s really hard to train a coon to pee in them little bottles.

Indian Corn is an inside joke among the longer term board members here. It's been a running gag-line for over a decade. I believe you can search the two words and go back to the old threads if you care to dig deep enough.

As for all of these miracle deer attractants, their number one purpose is to separate hunters from their money, and the more of those catch-words they use the more successful they are.

"To make any of the attractants the hunter merely needs to urinate in the bottle then add the neutralizing powder which treats 16 fluid ounces of human urine. Once the powder has stopped fizzing, the urine is neutralized and the Enhancer/Modifier is added to provide the desired scent. The two ingredients neutralizes and converts human urine into effective deer attractants and cover scents by first targeting and destroying the uric acid that causes odor. "

Most local feed stores can order it, but I've never seen it in stock. Call ahead and have them order some. You can thank me later!
