Brought it home for every other year maintenance. After nine or ten years of use, the tires are getting replaced. Tread still there, but cannot keep air in the fronts and have to air them up with the small onboard air compressor pretty much every time I go down. Maybe the multi-seal is just all gone, but I gots my money out of this set. Got 12 ply replacement set ordered and will get Boy to switch them out and then will fill with slime.
Opened up the hood and washed off the dust inside. Filled the washer reservoir, could fill it up 3/4 but there a crack in the tank. Went and hit the switch to check the spray. Nothing came out and the blades were in a bind. Got out only to find something I had never witnessed- the rubber had melted and was adhered to the glass. Thinking that means in addition to fluid changes, I will also be switching out the belts and hoses.
Gonna hornswoggle some unsuspecting buds to help me wrestle off the high rack. Maybe that way I will be little less conspicuous as I will need to drive it around some.

'Gotta haul the CanAm in tomorrow or the next day to have regular service. I wish I was a better mechanic, so I could tell them to leave off the BS. It's highway robbery, even at the Kerrville place. I picked up off a youtube video of a dingo hunter down under draping burlap over the front, headlights, etc., and putting a prop against the open windshield to stabilize it. I figured out one of those door jam prop security bars does the trick. 'Put an old camo shotgun sock over it. I'm sure it's my imagination, but I think the deer do hold a bit longer when I'm driving around.

The 'g' is the next row up. No need to stoop that low. Although someone thinks mighty highly of their equipment.

Mine too Hud, mine too…at this point I’d likely give them away. Females only, sorry to disappoint you…BigFitz, 2Beez and BigPig I just don’t play that way. The Taco is going to like it’s new shoes.

Bought that Scrambler for $2,000 in the nineties. Initially put another $3,000 into and then blew the automatic transmission. Spent more money on it after that. It was my daily driver. Had 258,000 miles on the odometer when I sold it for $12,500 in 2002. Ten years later, I heard the Scramble was back in town. It had another 2,500 miles on the odometer. It was a different owner and I bought it back for $8,000. Somewhere along the line and after I had sold it in 02, someone had rebuilt the engine, put in a lift, new wheels, heavy duty grill guard, winch, stainless steel fuel tank, fuel injection and more. That mutha runs.
Something similar happened with the Taco, but that's another story.

Lol, when STX gave me the grease wood lecture, it went in one ear out the other When another lease member pulled up in a jeep with 5 plugs in one side wall hole, I was highly impressed the fix held, but did not head STX advice After I had to put 4 plugs in same hole on inside wall of rear tire, I thought the old man got lucky on his prediction After I had to put two plugs in the other rear tire, I cursed the old man went home brought 12ply and filled with Gremplers ultra seal. Been good ever sense. PS: the ultra seal plugged both holes with branches still stuck in them. It was impressive. Note though when you pull out the branch stab it will spit Blue [censored] all over you .

I get it. You guys who believe in running on low tire pressure in radials (egad!) are more susceptible to grease wood. Stobs fear a highly pressured bias 12 ply bite and with the narrow the width, the less you encounter.

Hud I wish I had the opportunity to bring your taco out there and settle it, would of been a fun week I’ll volunteer to drive it out there and even pay for gas. You do the test driving during the hunt-I’ll be glassing with my new binos and do the shooting with my new 708. Hud can come along to take notes as long as he brings sausage.

Something similar happened with the Taco, but that's another story. Awesome story! It’s home where it belongs. I had an 83 in high school and loves that thing…sold it and would love another just from the memories part of it. Don’t need one or even looking for one haha. That thing will go places the taco wished she could
