Got to work on the shop wiring this evening.

Trying to figure out what I should do for lights in the shop.

Plugs all on 20amp circuits. I don’t think anyone will say we don’t have enough plugs.

I like the round LED lights. Here are a bunch of different choices. You might consider putting a big ceiling fan in there as well.

I actually ordered 5 200w hi bay lights and a 96” HVLS ceiling fan for the shop. They should be here tomorrow.



I installed these three LED fixtures over the area where I’ll set up my work benches.



Got the first wall wired up. Have I mentioned how much I hate working with 12ga wire?

Kitchen cabinets are in! We will do some type of shelf for the uppers.

All shop plugs are wired in!

Started on the interior doors and trim this afternoon. Would be nice to get this knocked out this weekend. We’ll see.

Hoping to finish the trim upstairs and build the handrail for the stairs and the loft tomorrow.

Made some huge progress on the barn yesterday! Trim is 99% complete and the handrail on the staircase is starting to shape up!!

Is the staircase made of tubing or c-pearling?

The reason I ask is because I am having a loft built with a staircase.

2x6 tubing for the runners. The stair treads are 2x8 purlins. Handrail is 1.5” sq tubing. Hope to watch yours come together!

Been a little while since the last post..

It’s getting closer.

Favorite part so far! Getting furniture to the second floor is easy peasy!

We are all moved in - the barndo is super comfortable. The mini-splits are awesome - 69-70* with minimal electricity usage.

Fiber internet is coming this week.
