That’s about the weight of our TT. No chance I’d be happy dragging it <100 miles max with an electric truck.

That said, I think I want more people to buy electric trucks, so that the realities of electric vehicle limitations becomes more obvious to more people. Right now it seems that many folks are excited about the availability of electric trucks, when it seems that the real excitement is more along the lines of worrying whether or not they’ll get to their destination.

What about finding a charging station along your way and how many people ahead of you for a charge? Will this take hours to charge and I'm sure it won't be free.
For me a battery powered drill, sawall, deer feeder & game camera is all I'm interested in.

Going to get interesting the first Tesla's are coming up on 10 years old who is going to replace batteries for $10K+ for a 10 year old car?

Exactly what i figured when talking all the electric truck talk. Put that truck under load and the battery life gets sucked dry.

I would love to see the teat with just a bed full of something (feed bags, bricks, whatever) to make it almost max the bed weight capacity and see how that messes with the battery life.

Probably gonna see some of these on the used market sooner than we thought. Shocked, but bot shocked, at the lack of range.

I like EV’s like golf carts for quietly running around my ranch but that’s where I draw the line.

Just read a report that said the batteries in an EV sedan add a lot of weight, so I can only imagine how much they add to a truck. Doesn't sound like something that would work well in wet and/or soft ground. And good luck getting an EV fire out in a remote area.

Plus, what to do with the old batteries???? Where can they be “disposed” of, and what will the cost be for disposal????

Might wind up in a toxic dump site and you pay rent on your old batteries till you die. This could happen.

All those dead batteries are being shipped to africa and causing their toxic landfills. Out of sight out of mind.

I haven't had an electric golf cart in nearly fifteen years. I did have a few over the years and remember the batteries being heavy, nasty from constantly fighting corrosion, and expensive.

It is an outright tragedy that this whole green agenda has been bought hook line and sinker by the masses. The stupid wind turbines and solar panels don’t do any better than this POS truck. Fossil fuels will some day run out but it isn’t going to be any time soon. Long after I am dead I am sure. It is wise to be exploring other alternatives but it is very foolish to be pushing things that simply don’t work well.
Maybe these EVs are the future who knows but I am positive the technology is no where near where it needs to be for that to happen yet.

An electric car would make sense for my wife as she puts very few miles on her car and it's all close range. However, she has a chevy spark that was all of $14k brand new. when you can make me an electric for that price I'd consider it.
