I'm pretty sure that is mesquite. After you scooped that one up I had Mike make me this one. It's mesquite burl with red and black liners. Really neat little neck knife [Linked Image]

i've been pondering the requested usage and what knife i would use, i couldn't settle on one so i haven't posted till now
