Only 200 pages, finished it in a week. If you’re looking for a good read, I really enjoyed this one and if you live anywhere near Haslet you are welcome to this copy of it.

Thanks for posting. I'm "purging"/reducing a lot of books I just can't finish. I'm not a biography guy, no matter how hard I try. Got 1/3 of the way through the "condensed" bio of Churchill. 'Sucker's 3 inches thick. Just can't do it, and he's a huge hero to me. Tried one about Bach, which I admire greatly. 'Can't do it. Got, probably, 7/8ths through an Alaska book about a guy going to and describing an island and all the wildlife on it - about 300 pages of metaphorical descriptions about life and nature; "The breath I breathe is breathed by humpback whales...The plant becomes the deer that becomes me...etc., etc." Enough already. I do like these kinds of "self-help" books, be it investing, efficiency, etc. I can finish them.
...and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Gen. 1:28

Wanna read a good book? Read “enemies foreign and domestic “ by Mathew Bracken. It’s the one with the yellow cover, it’s a 3 book series. I haven’t read the other 2 but this one is good.

I’ll bet it is good. I read his Wild at Heart. Great book. I should probably read it again.

Here ya go sir … The human soul has a built-in yearning for joy and beauty and all good things. But that craving for life has taken a real beating in recent years. Between false promises of ease and comfort on one side and the sheer trauma of global disease and disasters on the other, people today are facing a shortage of peace, happiness, and strength. In Resilient, Eldredge provides skills and tools to strengthen your heart and soul--and reveals a path toward genuine recovery and resilience provided by Jesus himself. Drawing on wisdom from Scripture and Christian tradition, and illustrated throughout with powerful, true stories of grit and survival, Resilient will help readers recover from the trauma of the COVID-19 pandemic; tap into "supernatural graces" like the river of life that God promises his people; learn to be patient with themselves--genuine recovery from spiritual and emotional trauma takes time and intentionality; create a plan, because resilience and victory aren't going to come with a swipe on your home screen; and discover deep wells of freedom and strength through Christ who lives within us. Thriving requires a resilient soul. This book will help readers find the resilience they need when the world has gone mad--and discover in Jesus himself the strength that prevails.

One of my favorites is "Running to the Outhouse" by Willie Makeit, illustrated by Betty Wont.
