I have had to run 15 miles a week for the past 42 years just so I could enjoy her cooking - it is a trade off but worth it for sure

By the way, I know it was you that mentioned cutting back on portions. My reading that was perfect timing since i have put on a little weight for first time ever. I guess I was raised to clean my plate so i always have, but recently I have cut back on portions. Thank you.

I fast on Tuesday and Thursday and really look forward to my Friday morning breakfast sandwich - egg, ham, cheese and grilled onion on toast slathered with mayo.

The grilled onion is a must. Sometimes I add grilled Jalapeno.

Actually I believe I said that the exercise allows me to eat pretty much what I want - I just go run it off. But I also limit how much I eat - in fact the sandwich shown was not finished by me. Other thing I do is keep a bag of almonds (or the like) around that I will eat a few of throughout the day - helps curb the appetite

About running out of bacon - here is my strategy. It's like baseball.

1 package is at-bat
1 package is on-deck
1 package is in-the-hole

When the at-bat package is done on-deck goes to bat and in-the-hole goes on-deck and then a package comes home from the grocery store and goes in-the-hole.
