I'm not a golf fan and don't follow the sport very closely at all, but it seems like a non-issue if guys are being offered absurd amounts of money to go play on another tour. Just about anybody, regardless of profession, would jump ship if they could do the same work for significantly more money.

Well, let’s think about this a bit. How many PGA tournaments would a fellow have to win to equal what he gets from the other league just to show up? Not a tough decision at all, particularly if you aren’t one of the top ten winners on tour. Take the money, play a few years, then retire and go fishing.

I have to wonder if LIV will last. From what I saw watching last week their gallery was pretty small, not sure where all that money is coming from but it’s definitely not in ticket sales. If it’s just rich Saudis they may tire of losing money.

PGA announced they will be revising some tournament formats and raising prize money levels next year.

I would rather play the game myself than watch somebody else. I do wish I had a fan base to help me find my ball when I send into the next fairway over. I never have figured out why they all run to it and hoover over the ball like its something special. Reminds me of when I was in little league baseball kids scrambling to get a foul ball so they could get a free soda at the concession stand. Those were the days

I could easily shave several strokes off of my game and lower my handicap if I had a crowd to show me where every wayward shot was laying.
